Well personal family matters had pushed my scrapbooking aside for a while.... I will hopefully be starting a new job soon! I will still be listing items on ebay to sell, just not as often as I used to... it will be when I finish projects and how long it takes,... juggling 2 kids, a job, and a home is sure to be tough at first :) I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and I hope you all had a fantastic holiday (no matter which one you celebrate) with you family :)

Watercoloring your own drawings

When I had my surgery a few weeks ago, my sister-in-law did something REALLY nice for me....she gave me a gift. So I wanted to make her a special Thank you card.....To look at her you'd NEVER guess that she was a TAZ "freak" she LOVES that tasmanian devil!! So I challenged myself to create her a taz card that she'd be able to display in her home even tho her decorating style is (I'm so bad at determining a style).....but her home looks like it should be in a magazine. So my challenge was since she LOVES taz so much how could I make her a card that would not take away from her home decor. I don't know if she'll display this or not but I sure did have fun creating this card!

I didn't want to spend the money on a stamp, plus I'm a girl that LOVES to draw. So the cheapskate in me drew taz LOL

First, I lightly drew taz with a pencil on some watercolor paper. The I colored taz in and blended the colors. Then I took a super thin black marker and defined all taz's features and outlined him....then I added some chalk for a glow around him...cut the scalloped paper out.....and sewed taz to the scallop. I chose background photos too and sewed those too. The end result is this :)

To create the envelope I used my enveloper (the coolest thing ever), then I lightly chalked the edges of the card... put her name on the front and then took my stickles and freehand doodled a flourish on the lower right corner of the envelope..... I sure do hope she likes it... I've decided I'll make her a taz Christmas card too :)

Ok so last week... Robby was at the mountains with Grandma and Grandpa...so Mollie was posing for the camera... Isn't she a beauty...... I've really been blessed with some adorable kids :) Thanks for letting me share :)

Congratulations Robby!!!

O my gosh I tear up whenever I see this photo of my sweet boy Robby....you see Robby is autistic and he graduated from his Autistic Pre-School on August 15. Until last year, you couldn't have a conversation with Robby and he couldn't understand you, he couldn't eat with a fork, or sit still, he couldn't do SO MANY things...... the last 3-6 months he's blossomed into this wordster... he doesn't quite know what all the words mean or how to use them properly but he TRIES SO HARD! He memorizes everything and repeats things until he memories them and processes it.... So for me this photo is so much more than a typical pre-school photo... this is a HUGE accomplishment...these times are the stepping stones to the rest of his life and he's come leaps and bounds to get where he is today and I'm SOOOOO PROUD of him... Mommy loves you boy!

I'm alive...

Ok so I have been busy recovering from surgery... and I will continue to recover for the next few weeks...I haven't been able to scrap a whole lot because it's been very uncomfortable to try to scrap... so I'm goin to be working on a 1 pager for my contest.....although I will be postponing the contest until September now just because I want to make sure I have photos of the layout and everything done :) so I can ship it to the winner ASAP!

Look for some EXCITING things from me in September on Ebay! There are LOTS of ideas in the works and I'm VERY EXCITED about them all! :)

My scrap world is being re-vamped...my hubby decided to make me a new scrap area... with a new desk and everything all organized... I will post pix when it's all done as construction started today. WOOHOO!!!

Lazy Scrapper Tip #3

Ok so Ya know when you're chugging along and OMG I made a mistake or OMG I spilled glue someoce I shouldn't have or your messed up on stitching or maybe your outlined and someone scred ya to death and ya scribbled, hey it's OK NO WORRIES..... This is scrapbooking... and there are NO MISTAKES in scrapbooking! There's nothing we can't fix or enhance.

Ok so you made a boo-boo and at first you cuss and scream then you wanna pout and cry, who can blame ya it cost ya a fortune and took lots of time.... no worries.... just cover those spots up, with some beautiful prima flowers, or maybe some beautiful ribbons, maybe you could cover it with a tag, add a little critter of some kind if it's in a spot that allows, or maybe use a die cut or make your own with your cricut and cover up that boo-boo. Your happy little mistake has just made you think outside of the box and shows your different ways in which you can enhance your beauitful pages.

The possibilities are endless, so next time you make a boo-boo... no worries... just be creative :)

Lazy Scrapper Tip #2

Ya know the xyron X....well, did ya know when you create your own sticker and after you pull it through BEFORE you take off that top plastic piece save yourself some trouble....take a pen and trace each letter/piece with a pen then pull off the clear plastic strip on top..... you're saying to yourself WHY... well when you trace it you fuse the adhesive around the pieces and you won't get those horrible (what I refer to as lil boogers LOL) gummy globs of adhesive, instead your pieces will have clean edges and they will peel off nicely.

There ya have it...tracing those letters is much easier than getting all those lile glops of adhesive all over the pieces you worked so hard to create :)

Leap Frog Anyone??

OK so I decided to try hand drawn, hand cut bears.... and I think they came out pretty cute!

I'm going to make one of these for a boy as well... I just love the bright colors in this one tho :)

So I'm trying to come up with some new and exciting things to scrap I'd love to get some ideas so if you'd like to shoot some ideas my way I'd Really appreciate it!

Ok so... I'm probably one of the laziest people around... I look for a shortcut with pretty much everything I do...scrapbooking is NO exception! I in no way skimp on the quality of a piece but if I can learn something to help me get something done faster, I'm ALL for that! SO I'm going to share some of my Lazy Tips with you! Look for fun, yet clever Lazy girl tips...remember I'm lazy tho so it may not be everyday :)

Lazy Scrapper tip #1

Ya know how your ribbon is all bent up and wrinkly? who wants to get the iron out... heck I don't even own an iron LOL that's what a dryer is for isn't it? or the steam from a hot shower....

Anyhow, what ya do is take your ribbon over to a hot lightbulb... holding a ribbon end in each hand...rub the ribbon back and forth against the hot lightbulb... the heat from the lightbulb will get the wrinkles out.

Where oh where !?!

Has my brain gone??? I bet the kids took it..they take everything.... and I bet its **SOMEWHERE*** in their toy box...uggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh


I feel like I have NO **zero...zip** brain power today... Like the doors and windows are all open and all ya can hear is that eerie whistle... yep thats whats in my head... dead air and a whistle... anyhow so I go to the doctor today... and around here ya can't just go to the doctor... you have to..... pack up the kids with a million and 2 things to take to grandma & pop's (so they can watch them) which of course means they will be brats when they come back home ... so anyhow... load the kids.. load the car and drive 45 yes thats rite 45 minutes up there....(we've not yet found a sitter with enuff courage to brave Robby ) so anyhow drive the kids up to the inlaws.....drive back 30 minutes to my dr appt...so whats that 30 min to an hour of waiting and 5 minutes for my actual dr appt....ok then BACK in the car for 30 minutes to pick the kids up ....argue with the kids that they have to come home with me and then they cry and shout mean things like we don't want you we want gramma... it's better here than at home... and my favorite... WHY do I have to go home with YOU!...so after my lil "angels" yea right....are cryin and screamin all the way home... ***fighting over the goodie bags gramma and pop gave them on the way home... it's mine no it's mine.. give it to me.... MOMMY!!!!!*** (except for the last 5 minutes where they've conveniently fallen asleep...yanno how that goes)... for 45 minutes to an HOUR depending on traffic at that point then I get home and wake the darlings up you guessed it crying ans screamin again cause they've been awakened.... ok so you try to carry one kid that kicking and screamin while draggin the other behind ya with a mountain of junk loaded to u'r back so ya don't have to make 16 trips back and forth from the house and the car (cause yanno it's so far LOL) so u got the kids the bags of crap they took with them....plus the junk they hi-jacked from gramma and pop.... and u'r trying to unlock the front door... and you've been gone for what 3-4 hours by now..(yanno on a good day...to the dr)and holy poop the dogs act like ya been gone for 15 yrs... they r jumping and licking ya and woofin and .... kids r crying and screamin cause the dogs tail is slappin em around.....you FINALLY get in the house and sit down for 5 minutes to yourself and you guess it... hubby wants dinner.....Gee ya see now why I have stress and have that dr appt huh LOL

So... this is my day today.....see what I have to look forward to???? You're ALL jealous... I just know it!!! So, think of me and have a laugh or shed a tear.....just nice that you thought of me :)

Happy Sunday???....

Ok so today was one of those days where everything u touch... turns to POOP!!! The kids woke up at 6am and the day was down hill from there.... the car started leakin some goopy junk... drove my father in laws truck... touched his rear view mirror... ya guessed it it fell off and broke.....the air conditioner in the house broke... my husband invited his parents over for dinner...so I got stuck cleaning the dang pit all mornin....my freakin steamer vac would spit out the water... yeah but it wouldnt suck it up... broken... then ok so Bob (hubby) made a turkey... put the darn thing on a GLASS platter.. dats right broke my fricken platter.....


I'm gonna go it on my hands all nite and not touch anything else for the rest of the night so I don't break it LOL

Until... tomorrow :)

Are bald patches sexy???

OK so it's Friday and your thinking THANK GOD it's Friday... I know ya are.....NOT me.....not THIS Friday... see this Friday is and will be one of the longest days of the year....both kids home from school ALL DAY LONG...it's just 9am now (probably 10 by the time I finish writing this thing)and I already have about 6 mini bald spots from ripping out my hair....I've declared this the crazy house already.... they've eated more lbs of food than they weigh already.... I've taken loads of tylenol from the migraine I have from banging my head on the wall (LOL)...I've played referee to about 5 rounds of wrestling and fighting with them, house has looked like a tornado came thru since 5 minutes after they woke up....... AHHH the joys of motherhood LOL

Anyhow.... you don't wanna hear me whine all day... heck I don't wanna hear me whine .....LOL so instead I'll just scrapbook.... :) I'll bbl

Word of the day:

Ahhhh Kids... gotta love em! These are lil words or phrases out of the mouthes of babes!

OK so my son as you probably know is autistic so speech has been killer for him over the past few yrs...he's just starting to get words together and form some mini sentences...anyhow occassionally (ok all the time) he comes up with his OWN version of a word.

The word of the day today is gorgeous... or as Robby says it "GEORGE-US" it's the cutest thing ever and he just keeps sayin it over and over... so go ahead... ya know ya wanna use that word now :)

I'm a Gramma!?!

OK so I'm 37 yrs old and my kids are 4 and 5 yrs old... so your thinking... how are u a gramma?? My cat had some babies and I birthed 2 of them...




All together we have 4 new babies in the house... SO CUTE...but boy do they squeak LOL
